We were approached by Hunts DC to promote their eco campaign ‘The Green House Project’. Initially they had just requested video production support and the GSW team outlined that great video should be made easily accessible online and promoted through social media to help push marketing messages further.

The project was about retro-refitting homes to make them more energy efficient so we needed to effectively promote this to the local community of homeowners. We created 6 short films which documented the progress of two example homes being retro-refitted to help demonstrate how easy and cost effective the process was. These videos and other targeted content where then showcased on the key social platforms including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube; as well as a customised microsite which acted as the main campaign destination.

The campaign went on to exceed the aims of the brief and provided a real driving force to extending the project around the local area. Within weeks the campaign was picked up by BBC News along with other news and energy websites. Visitors to the website quickly began booking their places to view the example houses, including schools and colleges.
